Briscoes and Rebel Sport The Base Te Rapa LED upgrade

The Briscoes Group has engaged Aotea to undertake the maintenance of their 85 sites nationally for the past 4 years. Aotea worked with the Briscoes property team to reduce their power consumption and annual spend on the maintenance of aging lighting throughout their stores. 

Aotea and their sustainability partner Nu Green Solutions NZ looked at what was achievable and acceptable in lighting performance, taking into consideration the changing dynamics in retail lighting to reduce overall power consumption. The results across both stores saw the overall lighting levels improve by 33%, saving approximately $50K per year. It also reduced annual maintenance costs, with a 5-year parts and labour warranty.
